I'm off again, my journey takes me to Wroclaw, Poland via stops in Madrid - Barcelona - Berlin. All in all, in two weeks I shall finally reach Wroclaw. I'm not a fan of such speedy trips though to some taking two weeks to get some place might be 'long'.
Each time I pack up and move it cuts into my routine and messes with my work hours. I have to either put in extra hours before of after each trip and end up slightly frazzled throughout. Plus I get distracted and since I know I'm going to be in a place for a short time, I want to go out and play. So I must say I am looking forward to Wroclaw, where I can unpack and settle in for a bit.
Waving goodbye to Aranda de Duero and the friends I've made there was an interesting experience, tugging at my heartstrings. The pueblo itself is lovely, everything is immersed in the wine culture and lifestyle. I would sit in a restaurant's bar and order wine by the glass and try a different one each time - fully immersing myself in Ribera Del Duero wine. My god, it was heaven.
I've left lugging with me four bottles, I don't care if it's heavy and I look like a lunatic. These wines are coming with me and will end up in my belly at some point. Since I've now passed my WSET 2, next year I'll be back in Aranda to take my WSET 3 with Vin Class.
I'm currently tucked into bed in a friend's spare room in Madrid. New adventures await!
